Equity & Inclusivity: Quest to empower Women of 21st Century

Vision Group of Institutions was extremely privileged to host a two day symposium “Equity & Inclusivity: Quest to empower Women of 21st Century“. The symposium intended to highlight the essential need of gender parity and equity to females. We deliberated on key factors which will be instrumental in achieving this and also on possible ways to implement them in educational institutes as well as professional workplace.

Vision Group of Institutions, with campus in Aligarh and Kanpur, boasts of intellectual legacy of over ten years in the field of engineering and management. We have strived to impart holistic education aimed at overall development of the students. For this purpose, we have come up with novel ideas like Center for Character & Leadership Development (CCLD) and Innovation & Research Centre at our college. This year we have held number of workshops on Diversity Equity & Inclusivity (DEI) in our campus.

The symposium was a step in the same direction with aim to improve equity and inclusivity of women in all sectors. The function included Key address by leading women entities, and Panel discussions on methods to empower women of 21st century. We had dignitaries and eminent personalities from various sectors to lend their views. The audience were extremely fortunate to get the views of personalities like Smt. Pramila Pandey, Mayor Kanpur City, Dr. Aarti Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO, and several other women of eminence. Mrs Santosh Pandey, Vice Chairman of Vision Group was also present.

The panel discussions took up multiple perspectives and certainly provide valuable outcomes for the society on whole. The success of the function was widely acknowledged by all the eminent participants and audience. For all of our students, and definitely the staff, it was an excellent opportunity to understand and appreciate the role of women.
