Smart Road for a Smarter Future

Vision Group of Institutions organized a one day event Smart Road for a Smarter Future for all pre-final year students of the college. Shri Ajit Pal Singh, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Government of UP was the Chief Guest of the event.

Various Events held were

  • Launch of Incubation Center for Entrepreneurship & Start-up Cell
  • Release of Vision Insights: Ideas that work
  • Prize distribution

Shri Ajit Pal Singh, a qualified Chemical Engineer and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh gave the Keynote Address. Shri Singh spoke at length about the need to inculcate innovation and research in education. He stressed on the need for the students to master new technologies and to look into various developments happening around the globe. He informed about various Government schemes and encouraged students to be a part of the same.

Shri Singh inaugurated ‘Advance Technology Lab’ of Vision Group of Institutions Kanpur Campus. He was really impressed by the cutting edge technology and devices available in the Advance Technology Lab like Additive  Manufacturing Machines(3D Printers), Artificial Intelligence Models, dedicated systems developed on Arduino or Raspberry Pi kits, and latest Robots & Automated Machines. Final Year students displayed their projects.

We also launched the incubation center of the Entrepreneurship & Start-up Cell (E-Cell). Entrepreneurship Cell or E-Cell is an initiative of Vision Group of Institutions with aim to prepare future job providers for the country. The cell intends to create an ecosystem for promoting Entrepreneurship and start-ups for students of VGI. The cell facilitates learning in the field of entrepreneurship development thereby helping students by providing faculty-mentorship programs and conducting various guest lecturers.

We also launched our E-Magazine Vision Insights. This will be a fortnightly magazine which will cover latest updates about the college, and will have section for student and staff articles and research papers.
